A daughter forced into a tomb before her time,
A mother scalped and thrown away,
Upon examination witnessses confessed,
Two voices coming from inside,
None could agree on where the second man was from,
But now the agony subsides
I am the beast made flesh, who walks these streets
This frenzy knows no bounds, until these screams will cease
Ripped from the jungles of Borneo,
Mankind will feel my rage
The injuries inflicted beggar all belief,
The violence reaches it's apex,
Excoriations mark the daughter head to toe,
The hands that gripped and crushed the neck,
Of the mother mutilation twists the corpse,
Discoloured skin and shattered bone,
The throat was slashed until the blade could cut no more,
Decapitation now atones
Locked up in Parisian residence,
Denied a shred of humanity

Reflecting in darkness, the atmosphere was thick,
The silence overwhelms the tension,
A visitor arrives to see Dupin, and presents his case,
A simple mystery, a puzzle to be solved,
That still requires diplomacy,
A Royal document that's unaccounted for,
And simply must be found
The power of the letter, is only known to few,
The minister attracts suspicion,
Concealment in the holy quarters,
Is the most probable possibility
Tear this room apart, leave no stone unturned,
Check all the drawers, rip up the floor boards,
The cabinets, the chairs, the curtains,
Examined under microscope,
Then search the hotel grounds,
Take it brick by brick,
The letter must be found, it must be there,
I come to you despondant, and offer a reward,
To make a re-examination
